Milk and cookies for Jimmy Kimmel

7:01 pm on Friday, January 31, 2003

After an episode where an audience member got drunk on vodka and puked on a Disney exec Disney decided to make the set dry. Entertainment Weekly reports that during his first show there was an open bar and audience members were treated to free vodka. On Jimmy’s last show, beer was the drink of choice. Honestly, Jimmy Kimmel is funnier when you’ve had a few drinks. Now what’s he gonna do?

No, really. National Geographic, every adolescent boys first exposure to the female form, is putting out a Swimsuit Issue. It’s to be filled with photos of people in the suits over the last 100 years. No, really, I’m buying it for the articles.

Tucker Max: Drunk Extraordinaire

2:40 pm on Thursday, January 30, 2003

Tucker Max takes his drinking seriously. Describing his tales of his drinking exploits is not a easy thing to do. You’re best off just reading his tales for yourself.

Special Ed teachers vent

1:47 pm on Wednesday, January 29, 2003

Tardblog is a place for special education teachers to vent frustrations and share stories. Just like in the medical field these folks have to vent too. Some of it is quite sad but some parts are funny too.

That’s disgusting

Found a story about a scientist that is exploring what exactly disgusts us and why. Some interesting conclusions drawn about why humans find things nasty.

Then why is it so tasty?

Some people won’t eat meat. Some people are such fanatical vegitarians that they won’t eat honey. ‘The bees worked hard to make that and it’s stealing’. Don’t point out that their shoes are made from dead cows. Vegitarian shoes caters to just those kinds of folks.

Very cheesy

On vacation I try to avoid getting other tourists in my pics. This site wants pics of tourists. Even better they want pics of tourists taking pictures. Why? I dunno.

What do you see?

My son became interested in my color-blindness this morning as his mother was teaching him about the body. I decided to go online to show him some color-blindness tests. I found this site that shows quite well what I see compared to what a ‘normal’ person sees. The first two globes are exactly the same to me and the hats are nearly identical also. The ‘dot circles’ contain no numbers that I can discern either. Another page shows color-blind safe web colors. This last page lets you put html code into it to see what a color blind person sees when they visit your sight. Interesting stuff.

P.S. I see nothing but you should see a 45.
